Dr. Mirza is a board-certified ophthalmologist and part of the team at Fagadau, Hawk, and Swanson, MD., LLP in Dallas Tx. Dr Mirza attended Case Western Reserve University on a full scholarship, earning a bachelors degree in Biology and Sociology. She then attended medical school at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, earning a combined M.D and M.P.H. degree, with a specialization in Clinical Investigation.
She completed her Internal medicine internship year at Georgetown/Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. before her Ophthalmology residency training at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, where she served as a chief resident and was awarded the Silver Scalpel award for superior surgical skills. She then worked as a comprehensive ophthalmologist in New York for two years before completing a Cornea and External Disease fellowship at Corneal Associates of New Jersey.
In 2015, Dr. Mirza joined Corneal Consultants of Colorado in the Denver area where she specialized in cataract and corneal surgery, including corneal transplants and complex cataract cases. Dr. Mirza joined Fagadau, Hawk, and Swanson in 2018 to practice comprehensive ophthalmology with a focus on cataract and Lasik surgery.
