Dr. Viernes received his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1995. Following medical school, he completed his internship and residency at UCLA. Dr. Viernes completed his gastroenterology fellowship at Scripps Clinic in San Diego. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine for Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is affiliated with Tri City Medical Center in Oceanside, Center for Endoscopy in Oceanside and Scripps Memorial Hospital in Encinitas. Dr. Viernes has been practicing at North County Gastroenterology since 2001.
