Dr. Fierer received his medical degree from The University of California, San Diego in 1989. He completed his General Surgery residency at UCSD and his Laparoscopic Surgery residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center. He is Board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He has used the daVinci Robotic Surgery System since 2010 and is the lead surgeon for the Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas Robotic Surgery Program. Dr. Fierer has been recognized eight times by the San Diego County Medical Society as one of San Diego’s Top Doctors. In addition, he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is a past president of the San Diego Society of General Surgeons. He volunteers with several organizations, including the San Diego County Medical Society’s Project Access, which provides surgical care to those in need and has been involved in humanitarian surgical missions abroad as well.
